Outreach Project

Lifeline Ekurhuleni’s Outreach Project has been running for 15 years and is focused on taking lay counselling services into previously disadvantaged areas.  LifeLine has established satellite service points in the Tsakane, Daveyton and Vosloorus communities and makes use of our two mobile counselling units to take counselling services into informal settlements and RDP areas that do not have the infrastructure to house social services. For many of the informal settlements LifeLine Ekurhuleni is their only direct access to lay Counselling services. Here communities can address their psychological, social stress and traumas in which they are struggling to deal with.

These services are free and confidential conducted by a trained  counsellor who is equipped to deal with any type of crisis and specialized in HIV & AIDS, abuse, depression, rape, divorce and generic crisis intervention.

Our outreach services also include the provision of pre and post test counselling services in prisons.  LifeLine provides counselling services in Modderbee (Benoni), Boksburg and Nigel Prisons.

Lifeline’s Outreach Project is sponsored by Giesecke and Devrient.
